Percentage of Construction Cost
On larger projects, such as new home construction and more extensive additions and renovations, the fee is 15% of the
total construction cost. This fee includes schematic design, working drawings, meetings with the client, meetings with contractors,
engineers and any necessary trades people, filing for building permits and site inspection.
If our clients would so wish, we can contract the job and see it through the construction phase. This fee is an additional
10% of total construction cost. This process involves finding the best and most appropriate trades to do the construction
work and managing the construction process. This process, if carried out by Ali & Ben Design Studio will save you money
as opposed to bidding the job out with an outside general contractor.
